BERKLEY RIVERFRONT
Opening in 2024, the CPKC Stadium marks a historic moment as the first professional women's sports stadium, ushering in a new era for women's athletics. This groundbreaking development is a significant milestone for both women's sports and the Kansas City community, transforming the riverfront's identity and opening up new possibilities.
Recognizing the potential of this prime location, developers quickly envisioned a vibrant mixed-use community featuring restaurants, shopping, and a central plaza that connects it all. The central plaza will serve as the focal point of the development, fostering a lively and inclusive setting that enriches Kansas City's urban experience for residents and visitors alike.

RENDERINGS - PRELIMINARY STUDIES
Our design plan draws inspiration from the radial curvatures found in nature, specifically the ripples created by water. We have incorporated this naturally occurring pattern into our paving design, creating a dynamic and visually captivating effect. This pattern not only adds an organic and harmonious element to the landscape but also reflects the soccer team's name: The Currents.
The paving pattern emulates the fluid, concentric circles of water ripples, creating a sense of movement and continuity throughout the space. This design choice enhances the aesthetic appeal while paying homage to the team’s identity, reinforcing a strong connection between the environment and the spirit of the sport.
DESINGING IN CAD
This project has been exceptionally fast paced, even for a commercial endeavor. We've progressed from the schematic design phase to pricing a 75% design development set within just a few short weeks. This has required a delicate balancing act between internal and external team members.
Most of my time has been dedicated to updating the modeling, CAD plans, and coordinating between various groups. We've explored over five model options and produced multiple plan renderings. The production process has been incredibly rigorous and will continue in this manner through construction. I’m currently starting our detail process - creating lists of details we’ve already created vs. custom conditions.
